AMBICO CERTIFIES STEEL PAIR DOOR ASSEMBLY TO STC 59
November, 2005 : latest performance test results confirm AMBICO Limited’s undisputed world-wide reputation as the leading manufacturer of acoustic door and frame products.
In October, 2005, an operable steel pair door assembly was performance tested at Western Electro-Acoustic Laboratory, a leading North American test facility. Tests were conducted in accordance with ASTM E-90-04. The Sound Transmission Class rating determined in accordance with ASTM E-413-04, Standard Test Method for Laboratory Measurement of Airborne Sound Transmission Loss of building Partitions, was an astounding STC-59.
STC 59 door assemblies are commonly found in: broadcasting studios and facilities; testing environments; laboratories; dynometer rooms; and in locations where high energy noise (in excess of 100db) requires the protection of high "transmission loss" doors .
