Alternate manufacturers must submit evidence of previous similar construction in last three years in order to be considered.

Warranty |

Materials and workmanship shall be warranted by the manufacturer against defects for five warranty years. Warranty shall apply to replacement or retrofit of product only.

Fabrication - Recessed Panel Doors |
| |
|
. 1 |
General:
A : Doors shall be swing type, panelled, with provision for glass and/or louvers as indicated on schedules and drawings.
B : All voids between cutouts shall be filled with steel stiffened fibreglass insulated core as required.
C : Doors shall be blanked, reinforced, drilled and tapped for mortised, templated hardware.
D : Doors shall be reinforced, where required, for surface mounted hardware.
E : Top and bottom of doors shall be provided with inverted, recessed, spot welded channels. Exterior doors shall be provided with flush steel top and bottom caps.
F : Provide factory-applied touch-up primer at areas where zinc coating has been removed during fabrication.

Custom Steel Door Construction:
A : Each face sheet for doors shall be formed from a sheet of (18) (16) (14) gauge steel.
B : ll voids between cutouts shall be filled with steel panel core as required.

Recessed Panel Construction:
A : Panels shall be built with steel to comply with the pattern indicated on the architectural drawings.
B : Steel face shall be applied over the door core.
C : Individual steel panels shall be pre-installed in the door leaf.
D : Panels shall be securely fixed into door and welded in place.
E : The depth of the recess around the perimeter of each panel shall be 1/2" minimum.

Site Storage and Protection of Materials |

All materials shall be thoroughly inspected upon receipt and all discrepancies, deficiencies and/or damages shall be immediately reported in writing to the supplier. |

All materials shall be properly stored on planks or dunnage, out of water and covered to protect them from damage from any cause.

Installation |

Install doors and hardware in accordance with hardware templates and manufacturers' instructions. |

Adjust operable parts for correct clearances and function. |
| |

. 3 |
Install louvres, glazing and door silencers. |
