Yes. RF gasketing is essential to shielding performance and is always included. Acoustic seals can also be provided for dual-rated RF/Acoustic assemblies.
Yes. Specific hardware types and installation methods can significantly affect RF shielding performance. All hardware should be specified in accordance with AMBICO’s tested configurations. Coordination with your hardware consultant and AMBICO is strongly advised.
No. Due to the material composition and construction requirements of RF wood doors, they cannot be fire rated. If your project requires both RF shielding and fire protection, we recommend exploring AMBICO’s RF Steel Door and Frame Assemblies, which are available with fire ratings up to 180 minutes and offer a durable, high-performance solution for secure, code-compliant environments.
