West Block Parliament and the Visitor Welcome Center

In the beginning of 2016, AMBICO was first approached to collaborate with the design team responsible for the major renovations of the Canadian government in Ottawa on Parliament Hill. What started as initial advice on the feasibility of custom door designs for the visitors’ welcome center soon evolved into something much more significant. AMBICO was asked to supply over 50 doors and frames to the West Block Rehabilitation and Visitors’ Welcome Center project.

Bronx Community College in New York City

Our project at Bronx Community College was all about helping to retrofit the building by providing AMBICO’s Recessed Panel Doors & Frames. Since 1959 the Bronx campus has stood proudly in New York City, but after more than 50 years it needed some touching up. It’s amazing what some new technology can do to revive an older building.

Richard H. Hutchings Psychiatric Center

Balancing the need for strength and security along with patient comfort is an essential goal of behavioral health facility managers and their building design teams. The desire to develop a wood door robust enough to satisfy the physical abuse requirements of behavioral health patients has been an exhausting challenge to concerning architects. At the architect’s request, AMBICO stepped forward with our latest product to satisfy this demand.

The Isabel Bader Center for Performing Arts

AMBICO designed and delivered close to 100 assemblies of Acoustic Doors and Frames in Wood and Steel for the Isabel Bader Center for the Performing Arts at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON, Canada. Overseeing the project from its initial design to the final installation process, AMBICO played a pivotal role in shaping the design and enhancing the overall visitor experience of the art center.

City of Dreams Luxury Resort in Manila, Philippines

Located in the Philippines, the City of Dreams Manila stands as a premier luxury resort, embodying world-class architecture. The grand complex features three prestigious hotels, an expansive casino, notable restaurants, vibrant nightclubs, high-end shopping, a theme park, and more. Unveiled in 2015, this splendid destination showcases AMBICO’s specialized door assemblies, seamlessly integrating into the fabric of this expansive, large-scale luxury project.

Case Study: Johnson County Courthouse

AMBICO revitalized Winnipeg’s historic Victory Building with precision. Our retrofit project meticulously preserved its art deco essence, restoring entrance doors and frames to meet fire safety standards. Collaborating with key stakeholders, we used bronze materials and custom hardware to replicate the original design, honouring the building’s rich history and aesthetic.
